Black History Month Thoughts

This was my second year doing a Black History Month project, but this year I chose to do only musicians. I did repeat a few people since this is a new blog, and since I was writing longer biographies and doing more research on people. I learned SO much this month. It was hard keeping up with every day, especially in the middle of February, because I did admittedly get a little tired to doing on every day. I learned a lot about that  life was like for many musicians in the 20th Century. I was actually surprised by how many of them had terrible childhoods; I knew some of them did, but I had no idea how many of them actually grew up that way. I suppose that that is why some of their songs are so full of soul and the words are so real to us, because they were real for them. Check out Nobody Knows the Trouble I See by Sam Cooke. Thanks for taking the time to read some of my posts this past month!
