Hey guys! I decided to just randomly pop out another song. :) This time I did one of my favorite worship songs, Come Thou Fount! Sorry if the sound is a little off-sync from the video; I would have done another, but my voice was getting tired because I'm recovering from a sore throat!

Tomorrow is February, which means I start my black history month project! I'm so excited!

Make You Feel My Love

Hey guys! Here's my second cover! This time I decided to tackle an Adele song! I chose one that didn't involve me wailing :) So I sang Make You Feel My Love from her album "19" accompanied by my new ukulele which I named Israel (IZ) after Israël Kamakawiwo'ole, who was an inspirational singer with an amazing voice.
In other news, I have two exciting projects for the month of February, which is black history month in case you weren't aware. In honor of black history month, I will be posting a biography of a famous black musician for every day of the month. The second project is that I will be doing twice the covers (one every week instead of every two weeks), one of which will hopefully be a song composed by one of the musicians I write about.

Last Thursday, we had a rare day of snow. It snowed three inches and all the schools in our southern city were out. After I made a snow-bear named Pooh, I sat and played music for/with my mother and sister and we had a grand old time of it. Here are some pictures I took while I was gallivanting outdoors!

My ukulele finally came in! It is a beautiful concert ukulele! I already want to get another one in a different size, though, to compare and collect! I will hopefully be using it in covers very soon since the chords are much easier on ukulele than on guitar! :) Hope you guys are having an awesome weekend.

Ukulele!

Exciting news - I just bought an ukulele recently! I'm super excited! It's a concert Ukulele; concert ukulele's tend to be about 23 inches long, which is a good length for some whose man-hands couldn't hit the correct frets on soprano (the next size down and smallest size). I decided to buy it because previously I had been playing an instrument called a ukulele, which I had found in a local antique store for $15. It was awesome, and if you find one, you should buy it right away. It tunes and plays the same as a tenor ukulele, but it just has an enormous neck. Unfortunately, I had to force retirement upon the beloved polkalaylee because it groaned horrendously every time I tuned it, and I was nervous the aged strings would pop. So now the little thing sits in my room, a lonely novelty item, but safe and unharmed!
I will be coming out with a cover very soon, hopefully this weekend! Talk to you soon!

New Year, New Blog, and New Plans

Hey everyone! I'm so excited about this new year and new blog! I decided to focus on this more than on my tumblr because I find this to be more accessible! On this blog I will be talking about all sorts of things, but mostly I will be sharing my musical journey with you, including at least 12 covers this year (hopefully loads more, but typically I set my goals too high to actually achieve them, so I left it as a lower number). Please tune it to see some covers and other things that I am up to.
