I've also written some poetry lately. I'm really bad at titling things, so I'll just put the words, and leave them as they are:
the ripple of a wave.
echoes in my mind.
a toe barely touches the surface,
and the whole earth is changed.
a tapping on the hull.
memories of times before.
gently rocking side to side,
and suddenly I am aware,
I'd forgotten how to smile.

A bright flash.
Straight to the bone.
Through the skin, the flesh.
A burning inside,
And gone in an instant.
The heart flutters.
What are the chances
Of being struck by
Lightning?
